What does the association do?

»SMartDe – Netzwerk für Kreative e.V.« collects and provides information to faciliate artistic work and creative production and to improve the working conditions of artists and creatives. To this end, the association conducts multilingual information events, seminars and consultations.

Freelancing in Germany

in cooperation with SMartDe eG

Free workshops on the basics of self-employment in Germany: status issues, health insurance, artists’ social insurance (Künstlersozialkasse) and taxes.

Business start-up seminars in Polish

Organized by the Berlin Senate Department for the Economy, Energy, and Businesses and the Investment Bank Berlin (IBB).

Touring Artists Helpdesk Service

touring artists helpdesk service

in cooperation with the International Theatre Institute (ITI) Germany, the International Association of Art Germany (IGBK) and the German Dance Association

Artists and cultural actors (organisers, collectives, associations, etc.) of all disciplines can receive free individual advice on international projects and work stays abroad or in Germany. The focus is on the basics of the administrative rules of international work. Click here for further information.

Consultations are currently only available by e-mail, telephone or online. The contact person is Sebastian Hoffmann. Requests for an appointment can be made by e-mail to beratung@touring-artists.info. Consultation is free of charge and available in German and English.
